Meet Carlos Domacasse: 4Front Diller Program Coordinator

March 12, 2025

From navigating Jerusalem’s bustling streets to leading Jewish youth programs, Carlos Domacasse’s journey has been anything but ordinary. Now, he’s bringing that same sense of curiosity and purpose to the 4Front team. With a rich background in leadership, advocacy, and cultural exploration, Carlos is ready to inspire us with fresh ideas and forge meaningful connections within our community.

Q: How have your experiences, from NCSY to Roanoke College, shaped your understanding of Jewish community and leadership?

A: Programs such as NCSY and other Jewish youth groups have an amazing ability to not only bring kids out of their shells, but also reminds them of the deeper meaning- more of the ‘why’s’ and less of the ‘how’s.’ I think this approach is something that prepares Jewish youth not only for their next steps in life, but most importantly teaches how to live with intention.

Q: During your five-month internship at the Jerusalem Institute of Justice, what were some of the most impactful human rights advocacy experiences that transformed your perspective?

A: While the work I did at JIJ was intriguing and meaningful, I found the most impactful aspect of the experience was being able to live a life outside of America. Being able to see Israel as a resident and not as a tourist allowed me to immerse myself in a truly beautiful culture, which has given me so much perspective on what it means to be a Jew, especially in today’s world.

Q: What’s the most unexpected skill or talent you’ve picked up during your travels, especially during your internship in Israel?

A: I think this one would have to be my navigating skills. By the end of my time there I was able to travel the entire country by bus or train, which was not an easy task, at first.

Q: Are you a binge-watcher? What’s the last TV show or series that completely captured your attention?

A: I would consider myself a binge-watcher, but my favorite TV show, Severance, is still releasing episodes weekly, which can be annoying as the suspense increases with each episode, but it also makes each new one feel more special.

Carlos’s experiences in leadership, advocacy, and cultural immersion have shaped his ability to approach challenges with insight and curiosity. We’re excited to see how he’ll contribute to our community. Welcome aboard, Carlos!
