Meet Colton Denmyer, Senior Director of Facilities

We’re pleased to welcome Colton Denmyer, Senior Director of Facilities, to the Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore.

As part of our Operations team, Colton oversees the day-to-day work that keeps the J running smoothly—from maintenance and safety to ensuring a clean, functional, and welcoming environment for members and staff. His role plays an essential part in creating the seamless experience our community relies on every day.

Get to know Colton:

What interested you about joining the JCC?
What interested me most about joining the JCC was the variety of work I’d be involved with and really having no two days be the same.

In simple terms—what does your role as Senior Director of Facilities involve?
I oversee the maintenance, safety, and overall operation of the facility to ensure a clean, functional, and welcoming environment for members and staff.

Outside of work, how do you like to spend your time?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, our two daughters, and our two dogs on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. We enjoy fishing, crabbing, and spending time outdoors.

What are you most looking forward to in your first few months here?
I’m looking forward to seeing how camp comes together, especially since I attended summer camp myself when I was younger and appreciate the experience it provides.

When everything is running well, what should members notice—or not notice?
Members should experience a clean, safe, and seamless environment without disruptions. Ideally, they don’t have to think about the facilities at all.

Be sure to say hello to Colton next time you’re at the J.
