Jazz Dance

You’ll be so busy singing along to the music, you’ll forget you’re learning to dance!  In this adult dance class, we’ll focus on strength, tone, flexibility, and coordination, techniques that are fundamental in jazz dance, and learn dynamic, unique, theatre based dance combinations at the end of every class.  Some prior dance experience is recommended but not required in this inclusive class.

Cost: $60 | $90 Non-members

One of the goals of creative writing is to describe the world we see. Much like an artist who views his world with a brush, we paint our pictures with a pen or a keyboard. Whatever your level – reporter, freelancer, personal writer, novice – this workshop will open doors in your mind and help you kick up your writing proficiency a few notches. Class includes four leader-facilitated and four group collaboration sessions.

Ceramics: Happy Glaze

Looking for a creative indoor activity to do with friends or children? Drop into Happy Glaze, our popular design-and-paint ceramics studio. Select your choice of ceramics pieces from our large variety of items for kids and adults. Stock frequently changes some come back again and again. We supply the paints, brushes, stencils...everything you need. After you paint and glaze your item, we will fire it in our kiln and it will be ready for pick up in 1-2 weeks.

Items range from $5-$20 each.
Studio Fees: Members $5/pp or $15 family* max | Non-members $7/pp or $20 family* max
*Family = immediate family members. Please note that children under 11 yrs. must be accompanied by someone aged 16+.

The Yiddish Club, called the "Shtetl", is for like-minded individuals that Yearn to speak and Kvell upon hearing the "Mamaloshen." Rabbi Mayer Kurcfeld grew up in Williamsburg, speaks fluent Yiddish, and led a similar group for over 15 years. The format will be conversational, filled with stories, laughter, and yes, sometimes tears. Come join the kibbitzing, even if you don’t speak Yiddish but want to feel YID-ish.
