Join us for an all-Gershwin musical extravaganza commemorating the 100th anniversary of George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue and the 90^th anniversary of Porgy and Bess. Gershwin-By George! features a star-studded ensemble of artists: internationally renowned pianist Tom Pandolfi, Metropolitan Opera bass-baritone Kevin Short, rising opera star Jouelle Roberson, jazz bassist Tom Baldwin, pianist/tenor R. Timothy McReynolds, Gershwin specialist/soprano Carolyn Black-Sotir, with a special guest appearance by George Gershwin himself!

Highlighting Gershwin’s iconic works—Rhapsody in Blue, selections from Porgy and Bess, and his classic Broadway songs, Gershwin-By George! captures the Gershwin spirit–vibrant, brash, bold, and uniquely American.  A dramatic narrative and spectacular visual images tell the compelling story of Gershwin’s rise to fame: his childhood as the son of poor Jewish immigrant parents, his early years on Tin Pan Alley spent in the smoky speakeasies of Harlem, his successes on Broadway, and his history-making concert performances.
