What excites you about being at the J?

I am really excited about being immersed in such a diverse community and to have the opportunity to learn from the children, families, and staff at the J.

What’s your journey to this position been like?

My journey to this position began over 20 years ago as a classroom teacher in Chicago.  I have moved through various teaching/administrative positions (and states!) working with families and educating young children ranging in age from 3 months to 8 years old.  My most recent position was as a parent/toddler coordinator.

What are you most looking forward to doing in this role?

I am most looking forward to helping families navigate their children’s care and education.

Who were your childhood heroes?

My childhood heroes were my older sisters.  As an elementary/middle school aged child, I saw my collegiate sisters excelling academically and as division 1 basketball players.  I strived to be just like them.

What is one accomplishment you’re most proud of?

I am most proud of my 4 children and the incredible people they are becoming.

What is one thing few people know about you?

I have been to Italy twice; once on my 10 year wedding anniversary and once on my 15 year anniversary.

What is your favorite hobby or do you have a current passion project you are working on?

I love horseback riding.  I don’t go as often as I would like but am looking forward to going again soon!
