What year did you start at the J?
2017

What do you like the most about working at the J?
Over the past 5 1/2 years, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with and seeing “old friends” in the community as well as getting to know many new faces. The culture at the JCC is one of inclusivity, making it a warm and comfortable place to work. I’ve also enjoyed building relationships with members, and learning about what types of health programs best meet their needs. The most rewarding part of my job is knowing I’ve made a difference in someone’s life!

What was your prior work experience?
I started my professional career at the Maryland Department of Transportation as the Division Chief of Personnel Assessment for the State Highway Administration. From there, I was a stay at home mom for 13yrs. I re-entered the workforce in 2014, and served as the Manager for Health/Wellness and Membership Outreach Programming for Hadassah Greater Baltimore. I then transitioned to my current role at LifeBridge Health in 2017. As the Community Wellness Manager, I oversee and execute the partnership between the JCC and LifeBridge Health.

What special skills are you most proud of OR What do you love to do in your free time?
I tend to keep things pretty low key in my free time. I mostly enjoy listening to live music and exercising. I recently rejoined the group exercise classes I participated in pre-Covid.

I also like to spend as much time with my children as possible. This includes everything from attending their sporting events and other extra-curricular activities, to just hanging out at home with Milo and watching something on Netflix. I also enjoy DIY projects and like to challenge myself by choosing new things I’ve never done before.

What is something interesting about your family (pets included)?
I began my career at Monumental Life Insurance Company (now AEGON Insurance) in the Actuarial Department. After 4 years in the Actuarial Department, I moved to the Sales/Marketing Department in AEGON Special Markets Group — spending an additional 10 years there.
