Her recent position was serving as a lifeguard for our OM Aquatics department, highlighting her relationship skills and displaying her knowledge of the JCC. Get to know more about Jessica in her interview.

Q: Why are you excited to be at the JCC?
A: I am excited to be at the JCC as this has become my home away from home.  My family have been members for over 14 yrs and I have worked here part time for 3.  And now that I am transitioning back to full time work, the JCC seemed like the perfect choice.

Q: What are you looking forward to bringing to this new role?
A: I am looking forward to bringing my own experiences with the JCC membership and programs to my new role.  My family has been a part of many of the programs here and I have firsthand knowledge and can share that with prospective members.

Q: What are some of your past experiences that lead you to this position?
A: I have worked part time at the JCC for three years as a lifeguard and I love the atmosphere, members, and fellow coworkers here.

Q: What is one value of the JCC that resonates with you the most and why?
A: One value of the JCC that resonates with me the most is family.  I joined the JCC because I felt like this was the perfect place for my family to be as it wasn’t just a gym, it was a community center.  My kids have grown up here, participated in many of the programs, and two of them work here as well.

Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?
A: I enjoy spending time with my family, my friends, exercising, and binge watching tv series.

Q: Do you have a favorite quote/words to live by?
A: I do not have a favorite quote, but words to live by, I guess that would be: “Be safe, try to make wise choices, and learn from your mistakes.”
