Meet Lindsey Dove – Noah’s Ark Director and Stoler ELC Assistant Director

July 24, 2025
Lindsey Dove

If you’ve seen the excitement at Noah’s Ark Camp, you’ve seen Lindsey’s work in action. As Camp Director in summer and Assistant Director of Preschool during the school year, Lindsey brings 15+ years of experience, a love for play-based learning, and a joy for building relationships with families and children to the JCC every day.

What excites you about your role at Noah’s Ark?
Every day at camp brings something new, from dress-up days to Wacky Wednesdays! I love seeing campers have fun and make memories. This fall, I’m excited to support teachers in the classrooms and see students learn through hands-on play.

What drew you to early childhood education, and what keeps you passionate about it?
I’ve worked with infants through school-age students for over 15 years, and I’ve always loved the excitement of early childhood education. It brings me joy to watch students reach milestones and overcome challenges.

What’s your favorite part of working with young children and their families?
The relationships I’ve built over the years with families and watching young children grow up. You can’t have a bad day working with children—they will always put a smile on your face!

What do you hope to bring to the Noah’s Ark community this year?
This summer, I hope I’m bringing fun, exciting energy to camp while building relationships with staff, campers, and families. In the fall, I look forward to bringing my knowledge and experience with play-based curriculum to the Stoler ELC.

Where did you grow up, and what brought you to Baltimore?
I grew up in Boyds, MD, and have lived in Montgomery, Frederick, Carroll, and Baltimore counties. Now I live in Reisterstown with my 16-year-old son, near his family and the high school he now attends, Franklin High.

What’s a favorite children’s book you recommend?
The Wonky Donkey by Craig Smith if you need a laugh, Pete the Cat for its songs and fun with little ones, and Dr. Seuss books for their creativity and ability to capture attention.

Do you have any hobbies outside of work?
I love hiking and exploring new places in Maryland. My family and I enjoy cooking and baking together for birthdays and special events. After camp, you’ll probably find me at the gym to recharge and recenter.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go?
Mexico, for the crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches. It’s so soothing to sit on a quiet beach, see your toes in the water, and maybe spot some sea creatures.

Who or what brings you the most joy?
My family and friends bring me daily joy, whether it’s listening, cheering me up, or simply being themselves. My son brings me so much happiness as I watch him grow into a young man and hit his milestones, both as a mom and an educator.

Welcome, Lindsey!

We’re excited for Lindsey’s energy and expertise to continue shaping Noah’s Ark and the Stoler ELC this year. Be sure to say hello when you see her around campus—her warmth and positivity are sure to brighten your day!
