The Assistant Director of the Stoler Early Learning Center is a full-time position that demonstrates leadership abilities by creating and maintaining a positive learning environment for educators, children, and families enrolled in the ELC. The Assistant Director is tasked with a wide variety of responsibilities, including assisting the Senior Director with the daily management of the school, staff hiring, onboarding, and retention, and ensuring the philosophy, vision, and goals of J Early Childhood are understood, valued, and implemented.

As a Lead Teacher you will use your knowledge of child development, curriculum, Judaism, and/or the community to help your colleagues in their development. Lead Teachers are responsible for monitoring the development and learning of the children, and for communicating this information to parents and Director. Lead Teachers also supervise and provide guidance to classroom volunteers.

Assistant Teachers possess the knowledge, passion, and dedication to learning necessary to promote children and their families as they learn and develop. The assistant teacher supports the development and implementation of a quality educational program reflecting the goals and values of the school. The assistant teacher contributes knowledge and insight, ideas and creativity to the teaching team. The assistant teacher brings a love of children and of learning and commitment to introducing children to a supportive, creative Jewish learning environment, and is well versed in child development.

The Director of Inclusion and Ability works under the direct supervision of the Chief Program Officer to lead the agency’s efforts in creating a culture of welcoming and inclusion at the JCC for people of all abilities.  The two largest roles included in this position are to oversee the Inclusion program at J Camps and act as the Behavior Specialist in the Stoler ELC. This leader will also work with JCC staff to develop built-in support for programs and events throughout departments across the JCC.
