Barak has been working in the JCC world for over 29 years. Prior to moving to Baltimore in 2012, he was the Executive Director of the Central Jersey JCC in Scotch Plains, N.J., and prior to this he was the Chief Operating Officer of the Metro West JCC in West Orange and Whippany, N.J. He is a graduate of Yeshiva University – Wurzweiler School of Social Work and has a bachelor’s degree from Stony Brook University and an associate degree from Johnson & Wales University. Barak is a Shusterman Fellow and has completed executive non-profit programs with Harvard Business School and Columbia University. He is also the Board Chair of the Owings Mills Corporate Roundtable and a board member of Leadership Baltimore.  Barak and his wife, Cory, have three sons: Jacob, Zachary, and Jonah.
