Get to Know MSLC: Daniel, Madyson, Blake, and Avital

We asked our Middle School Leadership Council members to share some thoughts about this fantastic program.
Check out what they had to say!

Daniel N: A soccer player who attends Franklin Middle School. He has been involved with the JCC for 3 years.
Madyson E: A Franklin Middle School student who enjoys playing field hockey. Madyson has been involved with the JCC since preschool.
Blake M: A 13 year-old animal lover who attends Gerstell Academy. Blake has been involved with the JCC since he was 2 years old.
Avital S: Soccer player and student of Krieger Scheckter Day School. Avital is currently one of the Executive Directors of MSLC. She has been involved with the JCC since 3rd grade.

Why should someone become involved with MSLC?
Daniel N: To learn about Jewish Values and have fun.
Madyson E: It’s a fun way to gain leadership skills.
Blake M: So they can meet new people and have a good time.
Avital S: It is so fun and you get to make lots of new friends.

What is the most important thing you have learned from MSLC? 
Daniel N: How to lead a group.
Madyson E: How to plan events.
Blake M: Leadership and public speaking skills.
Avital S: How to be a leader.

What is your favorite thing about MSLC? 
Daniel N: It gives me a chance to hang out with my friends.
Madyson E: I get to collaborate and hangout with my friends.
Blake M: My favorite part of MSLC is the people.
Avital S: Meeting new people

If you could describe MSLC in one word, what would it be? 
Daniel N: Teamwork, because people work together to plan events.
Madyson E: Leadership, we get to plan things we want to do. 
Blake M: Family.
Avital S: Community. It is our own middle school Jewish community.

If you could choose one famous teen to join MSLC, who would you choose and why? 
Daniel N: Jake Paul, because he boxes.
Madyson E: Charli D’Amelio. She is really famous, so we can easily tell everyone.
Blake M: I would choose Jojo Siwa because everyone would want to see her.
Avital S: Teen Michelle Obama because she is very interesting and a great role model.
