Meet Dr. Alexander Steiner PT, DPT
Clinic Director 

Dr. Steiner is a graduate of University of Maryland, College Park, and the University of Maryland, School of Medicine, Baltimore, where he obtained his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He specializes in evaluating and treating musculoskeletal injuries and neuromuscular disorders, including sub-acute injuries, post-operative care and the treatment of chronic conditions. Relying on his experience, education, and further studies on a wide variety of manual techniques, he is able to work with patients to improve mobility and decrease pain.

Dr. Steiner has a passion for orthopedics and a very strong background in sports medicine, having treated athletes and performers at every level of the spectrum, including professional dancers, NFL receivers, and NCAA soccer players.  Dr. Steiner is one of the few providers in the area trained to utilize the DorsaVi wearable sensor system to provide precise objective measurements of the patient's performance and control.  This system is used in running assessment and evaluation and the Athletic Movement Index (AMI.)  The AMI is a highly researched and specific biomechanical analysis used in injury detection and prevention.  It has been used by top teams such as the New York Giants, the Houston Texans, and Manchester United.
