Inclusion & Ability

The JCC strives to promote a culture of inclusion and diversity within the Jewish community and the greater Baltimore community that welcomes and supports individuals of all abilities and their families throughout their lives.

The Department of Inclusion and Ability at the JCC provides both inclusive and specialized programming for children, teens, and adults with a range of disabilities. We also strive to ensure that people with disabilities are able to participate in all that the JCC has to offer. If you, your child, or a family member requires accommodations in order to participate in a program or event, please let us know and we will do our best to make it happen!

We are an affiliate of the Baltimore Jewish Abilities Alliance, founded locally and now a major national source for parents who require resources, respite, and assistance raising loved ones with different abilities.

The J is fully accessible to those with special needs, offering:

  • Sign language and oral interpreters upon request
  • Infrared listening systems in our performing arts facilities
  • Physical accessibility throughout both facilities
  • TTY availability for incoming and outgoing calls (MD Relay# 1.800.735.2258)
