The JCC's department for people with Special Needs provides social and recreational programs for children, teens and adults with a range of disabilities.
We are an affiliate of the Baltimore Jewish Abilities Alliance, founded locally and now a major national source for parents who require resources, respite, and assistance raising loved ones with what we refer to as different abilities.
Our programs at the J provide participants with opportunities to interact with their peers, enhance self-esteem and improve social skills. We encourage the integration of participants into JCC classes, camps, after-school programs, groups and events. Inclusion in these programs helps all members develop a strong sense of belonging to the Jewish community.
