Welcome to J Kids Baltimore!

J Families – the J is very excited to introduce J Kids Baltimore -- your “one-stop-shop” for all youth (ages 3-10) programming at the JCC.

The JCC is focused on helping your children to learn, play, and grow in a professionally led environment that is enriched by Jewish values.

Activities offered through J Kids Baltimore include voice and guitar lessons, Get Movin’ Youth Fitness classes, sports clinics, dance, tennis and swim lessons, afterschool care, CSA Martial Arts classes, and more.

We encourage your child to continue to follow their passion and discover new talents. We will help them build new skills and accomplish new goals and provide a home away from home for your family!

Melissa Seltzer is our new Senior Director of J Kids Baltimore. Melissa has worked at the J for eight years. In leading J Kids Baltimore, she oversees after-school programs and directs the J’s Arts Education programming. Melissa is also the Director of the JCC Community Block Party, a summer kickoff for families in our community. Melissa received a Master’s in Jewish Communal Service from Baltimore Hebrew Institute focusing on non-profit management, Jewish studies, and Jewish Education. She is thrilled to form deeper bonds with community families and bring her high standard of programming excellence.

Melissa may be reached at 410.559.3593 | mseltzer@jcc.org

Tracey Pyser is the J’s new Kids Center Director and J Kids Coordinator. She has worked with our Early Childhood Education Centers and most recently as a synagogue youth director. Tracey graduated from Susquehanna University where she studied Public Relations and Jewish Studies. Her interest in programming and Jewish student engagement comes from experiences with Jewish Volunteer Connection, the Ronald McDonald House, and previously working at the J. Tracey is looking forward to getting to know the Kids Center families and continuing to make the JCC experience a meaningful one for the children, just as it was for her.

Tracey can be reached at 410.500.5998 | tpyser@jcc.org

This year, we are also introducing J Jet, a shuttle that picks up from many local schools and transports your children to their after-school activities at the J. If you are looking for after-school activities for your child but don’t have a way to get there, don’t worry about school pick up! Your children can shuttle straight to the J, get homework done, and then participate in one of the many after-school programs we offer!
