We’re Having a Party!

5th Annual Community Block Party
#RocktheBlock2018

It’s time for the whole family to let loose and live it up, to revel in the heart and energy of this great community in a lively, festive environment.

Kick off your summer and join the J at its 5th Annual Community Block Party, a festival celebrating the people, organizations, and businesses that make this neighborhood so charming.

Save the date - Sunday, June 3, 2018

According to Block Party Director Melissa Seltzer, “This is the 5th anniversary year of the Community Block Party. We’re taking everything that’s great about the day and adding on some incredible new features. The Block Party is a wonderful way to convene the community and celebrate.”

A world of new amusements awaits this year: J Camps Jumbo Games, an ECEC Character Meet and Greet, an Early Childhood Center Baby Block – it’s sure to be a family day to remember.

And, it’s Israel’s 70th Birthday! Throughout the Block Party festivities, partygoers will feel the spice, flavor, sounds and energy of Israel. There will be Hebrew lessons, Israeli dance instruction, and beautiful Israeli music.

Parents and grandparents – get your children ready for free Henna tattoos, face painting, glitter hair and other complimentary ways to engage children.

“We have engaging, interactive, and upbeat entertainments on two stages,” says Melissa.

Sing, dance, drink, and feast on delicious kosher food.

“We’re looking at a very high energy, magical day,” says Melissa. “Block Party is everything we’re about. It is everything we are.”
