The Gordon Center, also known as The Peggy and Yale Gordon Center for Performing Arts, is a professional, state-of-the-art entertainment venue that showcases an eclectic array of live performances. Located on the campus of the Rosenbloom Owings Mills JCC, the Gordon is the premier performing arts center in Baltimore County.

The Gordon Center’s amenities include:

  • A beautifully appointed, spacious theatre with 550 comfortable seats, all with unobstructed lines of sight and ample leg room

  • World class acoustics that make everything from orchestras to improv groups sound amazing

  • A newly renovated lobby with an open, contemporary layout with dynamic multimedia capabilities

  • One of the largest movie screens in the state of Maryland, ideal for the annual Baltimore Jewish Film Festival

  • The adjoining Meyerhoff Art Gallery which features beautifully displayed works created by local and regional artists

  • Gordon Outdoors: a large outdoor venue with digital projection on a 26'x52' MEGA screen

Parking
When you arrive on our campus the Gordon Center will be on the right (east) side of our building. We suggest parking to the right of the theatre where there is usually ample free parking. Handicap parking is located in front rows of our parking lot, facing the theater.

Directions to the Gordon Center
From the Baltimore Beltway (I-695), take Exit 19 (I-795) toward Owings Mills. Leave the expressway at Exit 4 and bear right onto Owings Mills Blvd. Travel 2.2 miles and turn right onto Gwynnbrook Avenue. The entrance to the Gordon Center and the Rosenbloom Jewish Community Center campus will be ½ mile on your left.

Box Office Hours and Locations
Due to the continuing Covid increase, we are temporarily closing our box office Mondays through Fridays for walk up tickets sales.
Pre-Show Hours: The Gordon theater ticket windows will remain open for “at the door” ticket sales one hour prior to each show’s start time.

Purchase Tickets
Purchase your tickets online or at our Box Office during pre-show hours. There is a $1 to $5/ticket processing fee for all ticket sales (box office, at the door, or online).

The Gordon Center is committed to accessible productions

We welcome participants of ALL abilities. 
If you need any accommodations, including an oral or sign language interpreter, please contact us at least 2 weeks prior to the performance. 

For Patrons with Mobility Concerns
The Gordon Center is ADA compliant, offering an easy sloping ramp into the lobby and theater. There is step-free seating on the main floor of the theater for persons unable to use steps. Accessible seating is available for all performances. These spaces are specifically designed for people who are in wheelchairs and their companions. These seats are limited so please specify handicapped seats when purchasing tickets. For general admission shows, please arrive early. We offer early seating for patrons with mobility concerns.

For Patrons Who Are Hard of Hearing
The Gordon Center offers assistive listening devices for every show. The Gordon provides Williams Sound FM receivers, earloops, and neckloops for T-coil hearing aids. The devices can be picked up at the Ticket Sales Office prior to a performance at no cost. A photo ID or credit card will be required and held at the Ticket Sales Office while the device is being used.

FAQs

Can I bring my 1-year old to the show? 
Each person attending a performance must have a ticket, ages 2 years and older. Family friendly shows are open to all ages, unless otherwise noted. Please note: For BSO Music Box performances, all audience members require a ticket, regardless of age.

Can I exchange my tickets after they have been purchased? 
Unfortunately, there are no refunds or exchanges.

Are there discounts for Groups? 
Group Discounts available for groups of 10 or more. For more information contact Marilyn at mzvili@jcc.org

What is the age eligibility for the “child” price? 
For applicable shows, children ages 15 and under are eligible for the child pricing.

Do you sell food and drinks? 
Sodas, juices and light refreshments are available for sale and are permitted inside the theater. No outside food, besides bottled water, is permitted in the theater. For some shows, beer and wine is sold.

I am coming from far away. What hotel do you recommend?

J Arts Enrichment

The Gordon and the JCC bring arts enrichment & cultural events to the community. We offer high-quality arts classes, trips, films and other creative opportunities for adults as well as dance, music and performing arts programs for youth. You can find them at the Gordon Center or in the classrooms and studios of the Rosenbloom Owings Mills and Weinberg Park Heights JCCs.
