Take a Leap offers a program of master classes with national guest artists and local professionals. Free or low cost classes for advanced and professional dancers include jazz/modern fusion with Jon Lehrer, contemporary with Katie Currier of Peridance Contemporary Dance, modern with Loni Landon and ballet with Melinda Blomquist.

The master class will be taught by Katie Currier, Peridance Contemporary Dance Company member is open to pre-professional dancers ages 17-22. Dancers for BLUEPRINT and summer and teen intensives in New York City are selected during the master class/auditions. During their time in NYC, emerging artists polish their technique, work closely with prestigious current contemporary choreographers from NYC and abroad, and develop their own voices as artists.

J Arts Enrichment

The Gordon and the JCC bring arts enrichment & cultural events to the community. We offer high-quality arts classes, trips, films and other creative opportunities for adults as well as dance, music and performing arts programs for youth. You can find them at the Gordon Center or in the classrooms and studios of the Rosenbloom Owings Mills and Weinberg Park Heights JCCs.
