Meet Elena Mengazova: Accounting Manager

Join us as we give a warm welcome to the newest member of our Finance team, Elena Mengazova. Elena started her new role as the J’s Accounting Manager at Park Heights in early April. Before joining our team, she was the Senior Cost Accountant with Conveyor and Automation Technologies where she spent the past six years of her professional career. Fun Facts: besides English, Elena is also fluent in Russian and her daughter is currently attending our Owings Mills Preschool program.

Q: Why are you excited to be at the JCC?
A: As a participant in one of the many JCC’s programs, I wanted to be a part of the JCC team and help people enhance the quality of individual and family life through the promotion of physical, intellectual, and spiritual wellness.

Q: What led you to this career path and more specifically, the Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore?
A: I have a Master’s Degree and 8 years of Finance and Accounting experience. I was excited to see a new open finance position at the JCC.

Q: What are you looking forward to bringing to this new role, and what work experiences led you to this position?
A: I used to work for a technology company that makes robots and automated production lines. I am looking forward to sharing my experiences and reducing some work hours by using new technologies.

Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?
A: I like to play piano, exercise, bike, snowboard, hike, and travel.

A: Every experience in your life is special. It makes you happy or strong.  Find good people, take care of your family, do good things, and enjoy every moment.
