Bradley Kerxton, Director of J Kids
Bradley Kerxton serves as the Director of J kids Baltimore and Special projects. In this role Brad oversees all enrichment classes and our J kids after school program. Brad is born and raised in Baltimore and has been working at the JCC since he was 16. He is an avid sports fan and a huge supporter of Kent State University (his Alma Mater).

Melissa Seltzer, Senior Director of Community Arts
Melissa curates the Gordon Center’s Family Season including pre show and post show community building and Directs the J’s Arts Education programming for adults and children.  She co-founded the J’s signature children’s arts programs The Children’s Theater Production Company and Habimah Arts Camp. Melissa received a Masters in Jewish Communal Service from Baltimore Hebrew Institute focusing on non-profit management, Jewish studies, and Jewish Education.

Justin Dominick, Senior Director of Fitness
Justin Dominick oversees our Rosenbloom Owings Mills JCC Fitness Centers. Justin earned his B.S. in Exercise Science from Salisbury University and has worked in various roles within the fitness industry for the last 14 years. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Rebecca Chinsky, Senior Director, Park Heights Aquatics and Recreation
Rebecca oversees all things related to aquatics and sports programming in Park Heights and the JCC Maccabi program. Rebecca came to the JCC after teaching physical education and health in Baltimore City Public Schools. Rebecca is a University of Michigan graduate with a B.S. in Physical Education and a minor in Health. She also holds a master’s degree in Exercise Science and Physical Education from McDaniel College.

Wendell Lee, Youth Wellness Coordinator
Wendell has been a coach for children and teens for more than 20 years. He is a Physical Education teacher in the ELC, and coaches and manages clinic and league play for youth, teens, and adults at both JCC locations. He holds a Masters Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Fairfield University. He is devotee of the Positive Coaching Alliance and strives to teach life’s lessons in every aspect of the sports programming at the J.

Adam Stein, Tennis Pro
Adam is a USNTA certified tennis professional who has been teaching tennis to children and adults at the JCC for over two decades. He has been running our Tennis Camp for over 17 years. Adam has a B.S. in Physical Education from Towson University and is also an AAAI/ISMA Certified Fitness Expert.

Shawnise Crawford, Assistant Aquatics Director
Shawnise oversees the Rosenbloom Owings Mills JCC Aquatics Department including the J swim school, which includes the Early Learning Center and J Camps swim programs. Shawnise has been part of the JCC team for almost 20 years. She has certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR and Pool Operator, Water Safety Instructor Trainer, and Lifeguard instructor. She is also a swim coach. Shawnise graduated from Villa Julie College with a B.S in Psychology.

Jennifer Lake, Director of CSA Martial Arts
Jen is the Director of Comprehensive Survival Arts (CSA) Martial Arts & Wellness School. The J's partnership with CSA goes back nearly 3 decades and Jen has played a vital role in the growth of CSA's offerings at both JCCs.  In addition to teaching and overseeing 40+ classes a week she is also an ACE-certified Personal Trainer.

Emily Peisach Stern, Senior Director of Camping and Children’s Services
Emily's career started at the J in her teen years where she found a passion for working with children and a commitment to the JCC’s mission. Prior to leading J Day and our Camping Services Team, Emily directed six years of Noah’s Ark Preschool Camp. Emily has a Masters of Education in School Counseling from Loyola University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Mary Washington.

Shira Heideman, Park Heights Program Director
Shira works to provide meaningful and quality programs the Weinberg Park Heights JCC. Shira holds a B.S. in Liberal Arts with a focus in Psychology from Excelsior College and is pursuing an MBA and MA in Jewish Professional Studies. Between working as Director of Events and Marketing for Etz Chaim for three years and serving as an advisor for NCSY (National Conference of Synagogue Youth) before that, Shira has spent most of the past decade working in Jewish programming.

Jeff Snyder, Middle School Coordinator
Jeff is the Middle School Coordinator at the JCC. He oversees the Middle School Leadership Council as well as TNT Camp. He also is a part of the 4Front team, leading leadership programs for high school students. Prior to coming to the J, Jeff had worked with teens and individuals with disabilities in a variety of different capacities. Jeff graduated from the University of Maryland where he studied Criminology.

Mary Elizabeth Gipe, Arts and Education Coordinator
Mary is a professionally trained singer, actor, and dancer with a BFA in Musical Theater from Western Carolina University. Mary most recently worked for the past four summers in New York City with the 92nd Street Y’s Camp Yomi. At Camp Yomi, Mary worked as the Theater Camp Director and Programmer. Mary enjoys sharing her passion for performance through teaching and inspiring growing artists.
