The Queer Jewish Arts Festival is a new series of programs celebrating LGBTQIA+ stories and experiences through film, theater, music, literature, and dance. Hosted by organizations across the Baltimore area, this showcase of our community’s love of reading, writing, and the written word, features a variety of literary events curated to reflect important issues facing the Jewish community. In Their Own Words: A Virtual Author Series
Focusing on international best selling authors in conversation with journalists, other authors and thought leaders, these professional, webinar style intimate discussions explore the author's writing process and their relationship with storytelling. Through these events, we hope to encourage reading and doing, and would love for groups of people to subscribe and form their own book clubs. Books are provided in partnership with The Ivy Bookshop. Jews of Color and Allies
Jewish individuals, and other Americans, are in a moment of potential vulnerability and growth, as more and more people recognize privilege and realize the need to move from non-racist to anti-racist beliefs and actions. The JCC and the Gordon Center are pleased to partner with the Jews of Color Mishpacha Project to present the National Shabbaton as well as workshops for the BIPOC Jewish community and allies.
