In this 1947 film that won three Academy Awards, including Best Picture, a journalist temporarily assumes a Jewish identity to research an assignment on anti-Semitism. In 2017, the film was selected for preservation by the Library of Congress due to its historical and cultural significance.

This film is part of our Exploring Jewish Film series held in the Morstein Performa of the Rosenbloom Owings Mills JCC. After watching the film with fellow Cinefiles, Professor Linda DeLibero, Johns Hopkins University will guide our exploration of this classic film that examines the roles of persecutors, targets, bystanders, and allies. Light kosher snacks included.
