Dear Gordon Patrons,
As you now know, the Gordon Center for Performing Arts is closed for live audiences. We will use the coming days to determine ways to best serve our community as we evaluate the situation and make decisions for the future, including when we will reopen.
We want to be clear: we are not aware of any additional reports of individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 in Baltimore County or in our JCC communities. However, we are taking this step to safeguard the health and well-being of our community. We are following the recommendations of the CDC and health experts who say that the most prudent decision at this juncture is to practice social distancing.
We are working hard to reschedule all Gordon Center performances at this time. To date all shows up to April 16 are being rescheduled. If you are a current ticket holder, we will be in touch with you regarding your show with the rescheduled dates by early April. At that time, we will present you with options if you are unable to attend the rescheduled show. Please stay connected to this website and our Gordon Facebook page and look out for emails for updates.
J Live at the Gordon
For those of you who bought tickets to our signature annual fundraiser, J Live at the Gordon, we are working with our entertainer, Oz Pearlman, and our honoree, Jon Mayers to determine a date to re-schedule. We will definitely be in touch with you once that date is secured.
Baltimore Jewish Film Festival
The film festival will now take place from late June through early August. Specific screening dates will be posted online in the near future.
Virtual Possibilities…
Our program department staff is currently working to develop virtual programming that engages the entire community during this difficult time. Please continue to follow us on Facebook and at jcc.org/Virtual-J for updates, new online efforts, and other helpful resources. We will surely be in active communication.
We continue to be passionate about the belief that art and performance build community, create immersive transformative experiences, and enliven and uplift our lives. In this challenging time, may the arts in your life lift you up, remind you of the power of creativity and give you strength to get through these uncertain times.
