Six hours of archival interview footage featuring David Ben-Gurion, one of modern history's greatest leaders, was recently discovered. The material dates from 1968 when Ben-Gurion is 82 years old, five years prior to his death. He lives in a secluded home in the desert, removed from political discourse, which permits him sharp hindsight, on the Zionist enterprise. We gain a strong sense of Ben-Gurion’s personality, his directness of thought, his soul-searching, and his extraordinary vision for the present and future of Israel.

Special guest: Alon Ben-Gurion, grandson of David Ben-Gurion

Winner of the 2017 Israeli Film and TV Academy Award for Best Documentary.

Co-presented with Macks Center for Jewish Education, American Associates, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and Israeli American Council.
