Maccabi Sports: Where every camper succeeds! 

Campers will learn, grow and thrive as they explore sports activities through friendly and fun competition that promotes positive sportsmanship. Our new camp structure will feature Specialists to emphasize sport specific drills, games and competition in areas such as: Soccer, Basketball, Baseball, and Football. JV and AAA campers will be able to choose elective activities to improve their skills. Your young athlete will have the ultimate sports camp experience enhanced by instructional and free swim.

Grades 1–2 | Kickstarter
Your Kickstarter Camper will play a variety of games exposing them to multiple sport-related activities while increasing their game knowledge and comfort level in team or individual sport environments.

Grades 3–4 | Junior Varsity (JV)
Your JV camper will participate in traditional team sports, drills, and activities to build skills, improve coordination, and learn game rules.

Grade 5–6 | Triple A (AAA) 
Your AAA camper will build upon their current sports knowledge and skills as they focus on game strategies, competitions, and advanced drills.

Weekly Themes

Weeks 1-2: Agility, Footwork, Speed
  • Sports: Soccer, flagless football (non contact), basketball, hockey
  • Drills: Agility ladders, cone movement drills, relay races, sprints, 30 yard dash, bull soccer, dribble knockout, knockout, hockey shootout
Weeks 3-4: Throwing, Striking, Kicking
  • Sports: Baseball/wiffleball (tennis racket wiffleball as well), football soccer, kickball/ no-outs kickball
  • Drills: Long distance throwing, baseball swing (contact drills), kicking competitions (distance)
Weeks 5-6: Balance, Power, Accuracy
  • Sports: Basketball, baseball/wiffleball, flagless football, soccer, beach volleyball
  • Drills: Shooting target drill, home run derby (power), target practice (hula-hoop challenges)
Week 7: Coordination, Reaction time
  • Sports: Baseball/wiffleball, beach volleyball, flagless football
  • Drills: Catching drills/competition, high-toss catch, fast pitch competition

Justin O'Neill

Maccabi Sports Director
This will be Justin O’Neill’s second summer as the Director of Maccabi Sports Camp. Justin is a Towson native and graduated from Towson University in 2019 with a B.S. in Psychology. Read more about Justin.

Inclusion Program 
Children with a range of learning, developmental, social, emotional and/or physical challenges are paired with trained staff enabling them to successfully participate in all camp activities alongside their peers.
