Planned Giving

There are a number of ways to support the Baltimore Jewish community in perpetuity including the following:

Make a Bequest in Your Will...

A simple bequest in your will designated for the JCC is the most common technique for leaving your legacy.

Use Life Insurance...

A gift of a life insurance policy is particularly appealing for younger individuals because of its reasonable cost and tax benefit.  When the JCC is the owner and beneficiary of the policy, the premium payments that you make are tax deductible.  You may even be able to contribute an older policy to the JCC and realize a tax benefit.

Name the JCC as the Beneficiary of Your IRA or Retirement Plan...

Your IRA or retirement plan can be subject to high estate and income taxes, leaving few dollars for your heirs.  The more you can save on your tax bill, the more that your heirs will inherit from you.  Use these assets first when making a legacy gift to the JCC.

Establish a Charitable Income Plan...

A Charitable Remainder Trust or Charitable Gift Annuity provides you or a loved one with needed current income while providing a means to provide a legacy for the JCC after your lifetime.  Important tax benefits and possible increased income are available.

Create Your Legacy Today With an Outright Gift of Cash, Stock or Other Property...

Take advantage of immediate income tax benefits and create your legacy during your lifetime.  The JCC will work with you to identify the most tax-efficient way to establish your legacy right away.

What are the next steps?

If you are interested in discussing any of these options, the JCC can put you in touch with the planned giving professionals at the THE ASSOCIATED.  Please contact Esther H. Greenberg at 410-559-3545 to arrange an appointment.
