Arts & Culture Intern

The Arts Administration intern will work with the Arts and Culture department at the Jewish Community Center Owings Mills campus. Applicant should be a self-starter, able to work well without constant direction, and knowledge of the Jewish community is a plus. A motivated intern will take on the following roles:
• Outreach/ Publicity/ Social Media
• Event Planning/ Performance logistics/ Artist research/ Organization and Efficiency projects

Photography Intern at Camp Milldale

Love photography? Looking for something fun to do this summer?

Be a photography intern for the JCC's Camp Milldale in Reisterstown, MD

Responsibilities will include taking daily photos of the summer program and youth on location at Camp Milldale and online posting of the photos on the Camp Milldale website.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Must own your own camera and power (batteries) – SD cards provided
Ability to upload to the Camp Milldale website
Experience with indoor and outdoor photography
Must be friendly and enjoy working with children and teens
Must have Reliable Transportation (option of camp bus transportation)

Camp dates are June 24, 2013 – August 16, 2013.  There is some flexibility regarding the dates and times at camp. 

This is a volunteer internship position.  Proper credit will be given when photos are used by the JCC and Camp Milldale.  Camp Milldale would also share the photographer's contact information with our camp families if desired.

Theatrical Production and Stage Management Intern

The Gordon Center is accepting persons pursuing a career in theatre and stage operations for the Internship Program in Theatrical Production and Stage Management. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and should have some basic experience with elements of theatrical lighting and or microphones and sound board operations. At a minimum applicants will be consistent and dependable and demonstrate their ability to multi-task and communicate effectively in a theatrical environment. Intern activities will include working closely with Gordon staff installing theatrical lighting, performing lighting focus, creating sound set-ups, technical rehearsals, stage management, marketing/publicity, and live show events. Training and supervision will be provided at all times. Call times will vary and will be announced as the season is scheduled.  Actual schedules will usually be posted one month prior to an event.  Shifts are generally 3-5 hours afternoons and evenings.

Marketing Intern

The Marketing Intern will work with marketing and program staff at the Park Heights and Owings Mills campuses. Candidate should have strong writing and communications skills and be well organized. An enthusiastic phone presence and a knowledge of the Jewish community a plus. A monthly stipend will be offered. 12-18 hours a week.  PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED FOR SUMMER 2014
 
A motivated intern can take on the following roles: Writing press releases or copy for emails
  • Website updates
  • Social media postings and research
  • Photograph and/or video tape JCC activities
  • Edit videos
