Story Pirates Greatest Hits Show

Recognized by Jon Stewart as “crazy entertaining,” – and called a mix between School House Rock and Monty Python – Story Pirates will captivate and inspire audiences of all ages. Join us for a surprising afternoon filled with lively songs and outrageous sketches – all adapted from stories written by elementary school students from across the country. Performed by professional actors, story themes run the gamut from kung fu ninja babies fighting crime, to flying cats, and tickle monsters who rule the world. Who knows, the experience might even motivate your child to write a story for a future show!


Footworks Percussive Dance Ensemble in INCREDIBLE FEETS

It will be hard to stay in your seats while watching Incredible Feets! This performance celebrates the world of percussive dance and music from Ireland, England, South Africa, Canada and the American South. You’ll love the hamboning, hoofin’, jazz tap, and more performed by six dancers and three musicians. The show includes audience participation and lots of foot tapping fun for the whole family. For 35 years Footworks has delighted audiences in the United States, Canada, Japan, and throughout Europe. Founding Director Eileen Carson Schatz is a National Endowment for the Arts Choreography Fellow and recipient of the Maryland State Arts Council’s 2014 Individual Artist Award for Choreography.


Rick Recht- A Community Havdalah Concert

Bring the whole family for a special evening of song with Jewish musical sensation Rick Recht. Recht is the top touring musician in Jewish music, playing over 150 concerts a year in the United States and abroad. His repertoire offers a unique blend of pop music, Hebrew and Jewish texts, and messages of social responsibility. Youth groups from the Baltimore community will be joining the artist on stage.

Peter and the Wolf with the Columbia Orchestra and Kinetics Dance Theater

This production of Prokofiev’s immortal Peter and the Wolf is a perfect way to introduce your children to the beauty and wonder of live orchestral music and dance. The Columbia Orchestra and Kinetics Dance Theater collaborate for a special performance of this classic musical tale about a young boy and his grandfather. The audience will also hear The Thrill of the Orchestra which introduces the various instruments of the orchestra.
