J Camps offers over 10 camp options, all of which provide opportunities for discovery, personal growth, skill development, and–of course–fun! Do you have a child with a lot of different interests? You can sign him or her up for 2 or 3 different J camps and still enjoy the convenience of one system for transportation, payments, and extended day childcare.
J camps provides an environment where lifelong friendships develop and a sense of family, teamwork and camp spirit abounds. We support campers as they step out of their comfort zone so that they can encounter and overcome challenges that will enable them to grow in mind, body and spirit.
All of our camps are woven with the Jewish values of kavod (respect), community, and Hachnasat Orchim (welcoming guests). In addition to learning about Israeli culture from our visiting Shlichim (Israeli counselors), we also celebrate our week together with a Shabbat program that includes singing, dancing, challah snacks, and of course lots of ruach (spirit). J Camps embraces and welcomes everyone in our community regardless of religious affiliation. We encourage everyone to seek meaning and fulfillment by participating in our rich programming inspired by our Jewish heritage.
Swim Lessons at the J
Our nationally-recognized J Camps aquatics program features the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim curriculum. If your camper is enrolled in J Day, Noah’s Ark, or Maccabi Sports, swim instruction is part of their regular schedule. For all other camps, lessons are offered as either an elective or an after-camp option. Recreational swim is built into all camp schedules.
In partnership with the Pearlstone Center
In addition to enjoying our state-of-the-art JCC facilities, many of our campers will experience a classic outdoor camp setting offsite, on the Pearlstone campus. Activities may include: ropes course, zipline, lake time, farm-to-table cooking and nature exploration.
