About Us
Children begin their school years at the JCC in a warm, nurturing environment led by experienced, certified early childhood educators. We provide a well-rounded program designed to build a child's self-confidence, encourage friendships, and explore new concepts. Our curriculum includes music, art, circle time, swimming, gym, Hebrew, computer, cooking and creative play.
Our program also introduces children to the customs and traditions of Jewish life, Shabbat and Jewish holidays through the integration of songs, art, stories, food and special guests.
An additional benefit of our preschool/childcare program is the JCC staff of Jewish Educators, Health & Fitness instructors and the excellent facilities which are available to our young students. All school programs are certified and/or licensed by the Maryland State Department of Education, the Department of Human Resources and the Maryland State Department of Health and Hygiene.
Our Facilities
Our state-of-the-art Early Childhood Education Wing incorporates the best in contemporary thinking about learning environments for young children. The facility features sparkling classrooms with child-size bathrooms in each class, a gross motor room, teaching kitchen, dedicated art room, and computer areas. The rooms are furnished with the latest, as well as time-honored, games, toys, furniture, and other materials. The outdoor playground incorporates the newest and safest in play equipment and structures.
Infant/Toddler Program: Ages 3-24 months
Working parents with hectic schedules appreciate the nurturing, daylong childcare options. Children in our Infant/Toddler program generally come five days a week. Families who prefer an alternate day schedule can make arrangements to split the week with another family.
Your child will be lovingly tended to by licensed child care specialists in our Infant/Toddler Educare program. Our brand new, self-contained, facility features individual cribs, changing tables, rocking chairs, and developmentally appropriate toys..
Hours: Monday–Friday*: 7:00am-6:00pm
*On Fridays, closing times vary in accordance with the start of Shabbat.
Preschool/Preschool Plus: Ages 2 to 4 years
Each child’s strengths, needs, and interests are addressed through an integrated - Judaic and secular - curriculum. Daily activities include: creative play, physical movement, music, art, circle time, Hebrew, computer, science, cooking, swimming, story time, customs and traditions of Jewish life.
Our teachers are certified in Early Childhood Education by the state of Maryland and are caring, nurturing, professionals devoted to the growth and well-being of each child.

Preschool Plus (extended day)
Our Preschool Plus program is as an extended day option for children in our Preschool program. When not involved in the full day (9:00am - 3:30pm) curriculum of their preschool class, our early drop off and late stay kids enjoy a nurturing “home away from home.” This is a relaxing time for free play, snacks and enrichment activities, all under the care and supervision of loving teachers and aides.
Hours: Monday-Friday*; 7:00am-6:00pm
*Friday closing times are earlier relative to the start of Shabbat
