Campers must pass a swim test in order to register for any of our Aquatic Summer Camp Programs. These programs are intended for experienced swimmers. (Completion of at least American Red Cross Level 4 or above is recommended.) While there will be some "stroke clinic" work during the program, swimming instruction is NOT the main purpose of this camp.

F.L.O.A.T. Program ("For Leadership of Aquatics" Training Program)
(For Swimmers ages 15 & up; interview and application required)
Camp has its C.I.T. Program; Aquatics has the F.L.O.A.T. Program.
Gain the experience and certifications needed to gain employment with top-level Aquatics programs. Participants will get advanced training and certification in Aquatics-related disciplines while providing instruction and leadership to the crews in their care.
This is a six-week program (June 21 - July 30); participants must commit to being available for the entire length of the program. Selected participants will be eligible for a greatly reduced rate on camp fees, and may be eligible for community service hours.
The JCC of Greater Baltimore has applied for a grant which would significantly increase the scope of this program. Final details will therefore not be available until mid-February, 2010. Campers who are interested in this program should submit a deposit for the "Aquatic Leadership Camp," and should submit a letter of interest (from the camper) indicating why they are interested in joining the JCC Aquatic Staff as a "F.L.O.A.T.-er."
