Services for People with Special Needs

The Baltimore JCC's department for people with Special Needs provides appropriate social and recreational programs for children, teens and adults with disabilities. Our programs give participants the opportunity to interact with their peers, enhance self-esteem and improve social skills. Whenever possible, we encourage the integration of participants into JCC classes, camps, after-school programs, groups and events. Inclusion in these programs helps these very special members develop a strong sense of belonging to the Jewish community.

The JCC is fully accessible to those with special needs. We offer:

  • Sign language and oral interpreters upon request
  • Infrared listening systems in our performing arts facilities
  • Physical accessibility throughout both facilities
  • TTY available for incoming and outgoing calls (MD Relay# 1.800.735.2258)

Special Volunteers Needed

Children and adults with special needs want to become friends with you! Volunteer to play with kids in a group, spend time one-on-one with a teen, tutor a child, join adults for Shabbat dinner, and more!
